Really nice playing at the end there! Very sweet use of the major pent scale. Loved the high notes - they really cut through the mix, and when played well can make the performance really exciting - like a guitar playing up at the "dusty end".

If the Easttop 008k bothers you because of rough edges on the lips and you still like to save the money, just get some cheap metal files of different grit and work out the rough edges and you're good...! You could also polish those edges moore with some sandpapers. Pay attention to the grit numbers and work the surface down in increments until you're happy with it and save a lot.

Some great tips, Jonah. Whenever I learn a new instrument, being that I like to play and improvise by ear, I start with the 12 major scales, then arpeggios, then the blues and major blues scales. One thought, to make scales a little less tedious, is to play tunes consisting only of scale notes, like, well, Do - a deer...

I’ve heard negative things about Lee Oskars. Also when I first got my manjis I hated them. Not very responsive and the holes are bigger than on hohners. They are also not forgiving if your embouchure isn’t perfect. That said I love the tone and how it feels in your hand. I’m thinking of grabbing a couple rockets or crossovers and I may splurge for a yonberg or ARKIA. Out of the 2 last harps which would you get Jonah?

Jonah do you have a video on those yonberg (spelling?) harmonicas? I saw them on Rockin rons website and am intrigued.

Yeah I don’t get why Hohner doesn’t change the marine band to use screws off the production line. Very silly. The marine band deluxe is Far superior from what I hear. I also have heard bad things about the Seydel session steel. I’ll tell ya a harp I didn’t initially like is a Manji M-20. Very airy feeling and isn’t forgiving if your embouchure isn’t great. After some time and gapping they are great now but not out of the box.

I've got a Shure SM58 going straight into a PA for vocals and clean harmonic for gigs. Is there a pedal I can put in that chain to get that beautiful stanky blues tone?

I jam to that Santana BT in fourth position frequently. For some reason many BT's lend themselves to 3rd and 4th position. It seems to come naturally to me for whatever reason. Good stuff, Jonah.

I started with the fender because I’m a fender guitar player so I figured it’s something I recognized. It’s not a bad harp for the money.

What is the technique to bend the top notes? The blow holes 8, 9 and 10? - BTW there's no need for background music, it's just distracting.
